SettleTop Launches AI Registry, a Provenance-Backed Catalog of AI Agents and Applications

New registry gives enterprises verified, disclosed, and unknown-status evidence on more than 12,000 AI agents and apps before they are adopted

NEWBURYPORT, MA — August 28, 2026 — SettleTop, the AI provenance company, today announced the launch of its AI Registry, a public catalog that documents the origin, build composition, and disclosure status of AI agents and applications available across major marketplaces. The registry is designed to help enterprises evaluate AI tools before adoption, at a moment when organizations are adding AI agents into critical workflows faster than they can vet them.

The AI Registry currently tracks 12,191 agents and AI apps from 5,856 publishers, spanning marketplaces including AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Marketplace, with 15,149 changes to agent listings recorded to date. Each entry in the registry is presented as an agent “passport” that records what its build discloses — including its underlying model, framework, tools, data sources, hosting environment, data residency, and permission scope — and identifies who provided that information.

Rather than asserting facts it cannot confirm, the registry separates evidence into three tiers: Verified, for claims SettleTop has independently confirmed; Disclosed, for information the publisher has stated but not independently verified; and Unknown, for anything neither party has established. SettleTop says this evidentiary approach is central to its mission of giving buyers an accurate picture of AI supply-chain risk rather than a marketing summary.

The AI Registry is organized around business function, allowing users to browse agents by the outcomes they support — including cybersecurity and IT, marketing and sales, finance and accounting, customer service, software development, and operations — rather than by vendor name alone. Users can filter, compare, and share results, and the registry is updated on an ongoing basis as new agents are listed and existing listings change.
